I think this year I've done my share of boosting for the Chilean economy.

We get a lot of Yanks visiting us at our society <http://www.asnsw.com>www.asnsw.com and they are never really prepared for what they see here. Your photos prove it. I love them. I haven't seen a good SMC like that one for a long time.

Thanks.

> BTW - I know it may not be too popular to add another globular to the better than M13 list , but there is a constant debate amongst many Australian amateurs as to which is better Omega Cen or 47 Tucane. The former is broader and has more stars but the latter is brighter and fantastically concentrated. Looking at Tuc 47 with a 20" and a 31 Nagler is one of life's special moments. What did you think when you were down there? I hope you did some visual too.

I photographed the maximum amount of available time, which meant I didn't do any visual. I like to look through someone else's dob during my exposures, but there simply weren't any visual observers there.

I've viewed wCen through a 20" in Arizona. Even though it was only at 10 degrees altitude, it blew me away.
