A few weeks ago Fuji 800 (Superia X-Tra 800) was discussed here on the APML.
It _was_ one of the finest astro films out there, but recently has been
reformulated and has lost most of it's HII sensitivity. Recently Ken Webb
posted a widefield shot of the Milky Way. Have a look at :
http://www.lklnd.usf.edu/~kwebb1/sagcent.html and notice how M8 and M20 are
recorded. (Hope you don't mind Ken, I remember how you complained about this
film's HII result on a Horsehead shot this past Winter)
I'm sure there's still some of the older Superia 800 out there, the new
film's box say's "4th color layer" on it. But it's possible that some of the
new film was packaged in the older boxes. That happened with the 400 Superia
over a year ago.
