Re: [APML] Astrophotography blues

It only shows that money can only get you so far...

Pardon my story, but when I first started astrophotography, all the objects
that I wanted to take pics of were deep stuff.
Thats the way it is for a newbie...they all want to chew on the big stuff
right away....the glory...Yes!! ...the Glory!!

Well you cant have the glory without hard work and a mindset that will see
you through the end no matter what.

There was a time when I was challenged with accurate polar allignment....the
hardest thing I went through....I couldnt understand why I couldnt get it
(drift method).
Months of frustration went by for what seemed like a decade and then one
day, just like that, I got it to work!

The joy of finally getting that accurate allignment was awesome...just
great...a real rush, etc.!

I told myself next time I'll be more patient with whatever it is I "cant
get".

Well...now its a mount and scope...nothing I have is stable enough for the
next level of where Im going.

Im getting older, or lazier and want a mount that is kinder to me then what
my beginner mount has to offer.
My back kills me by the end of the night....I at least want to get up for
some coffee or something...or change the cd...longer more accurate exposures
would be nice too.

Ive decided on a g11, not sure what scope I want though....something like a
schmidt camera would be nice.

The thing is, if you want astrophotography to work for you, you definately
have to work for astrophotography...its love I tell ya! <G>

If he is that kind of person, Im sure things will work for him....maybe
he'll have to get rid of his current setup and get something with a little
less to it for astro pic'n to work for him.

Good fortune,
Brian
