No, your focus looks fine. I wasn't implicitly criticizing the zooms, but
like all zoomed, cropped portions of larger images, they show more grain.
BTW, I just noticed that you've added the Catspaw shot to your website -
that's the best of the bunch, in my opinion. Very nice.

I'm familiar with this technique, and do it all the time myself. I was just
wondering if your lens had 1/2 or 1/3 stops in between f/5.6 and f/8.
