You mean you see soft focus in the zoomed cropped portions? ;-)

Yup. I piggybacked the lens-carrying camera on the mount along with the telescope-mounted camera.
This enabled me to shoot both exposures simultaneously.
Also, this wide angle lens seems to work at its best when stopped down considerably.
