Thanks Bobby:
What tracking speed do you set the hand controller at, for calibration, for
actual tracking? Bert Katzung suggests calibrating at 1x and dropping back to
0.5x for actual tracking.
Concerning the AP155/1200GTO mount and accessories, I obtained them at a
really good price. The 1200GTO is from February. The 155 is the EDFS, 2.7inch
focuser version, less than a year old. I have wanted the 4inch focuser &
field flattener but this was too good a deal to pass up.
I got Russ Dickman's 2.7 inch field-flattener and I'll use it with my Pentax
67. If and when someone wants to part with a 4 inch focuser & field-flattener
I'll probably acquire it. I would like to do some 4x5 Tech Pan with it.
Well I really complained about the weather a few months ago, but I can't do
that lately. These cool fronts have made for pleasurable nights but my work
schedule has kept me from observing. Now if I only lived out in the country
I could have a permanent observatory.
