Bobby,
Now I'm confused. I thought most inexpensive short fl scopes (i.e. <$1,000)
suffer from coma and chromatic abberation <sp?>. To get one with good color
correction and a flat field you would need a $2,500 TV/AP/Tak and field
flattener. I have a OM-1 as my astrophoto body. There's plenty of 400 and
800mm Olympus lens's on the used market for about $400 and $800
respectively. And of course, there's the Sigmas/Vivitars/Tamrons out there.
I'm sure the Nikons are more expensive but wouldn't these lenses be as good
if not better than a comparably priced scope when you're talking these short
focal lengths?
