I've used the Losmandy plates (the double dovetail model)
to mount a 12.5" RCT. There was no flexure visible when
used on a GM-200 mount.
IMO the G-11 receiver will not work. On the "lock down" side
you only have about 2" of contact. The GM200 receiver is at
least twice as big, giving you a more secure fit. Better
yet would be to machine your own in which the entire side
clamps down.
I prefer a mounting plate over tube rings in a portable
setup. It is easier to load and unload the payload. But you'll
need to make sure and machine a radius block that is large enough,
preferrably with a curved inner washer matching the full length
of the radius block (= $$$). But still probably cheaper than
casting tube rings unless you are doing it yourself.
Don't forget about a secondary heater if used in a humid
environment.
