I've used the Losmandy plates (the double dovetail model) 
to mount a 12.5" RCT.  There was no flexure visible when
used on a GM-200 mount.

IMO the G-11 receiver will not work.  On the "lock down" side
you only have about 2" of contact.  The GM200 receiver is at
least twice as big, giving you a more secure fit.  Better
yet would be to machine your own in which the entire side
clamps down.

I prefer a mounting plate over tube rings in a portable
setup.  It is easier to load and unload the payload.  But you'll
need to make sure and machine a radius block that is large enough,
preferrably with a curved inner washer matching the full length
of the radius block (= $$$).  But still probably cheaper than
casting tube rings unless you are doing it yourself.

Don't forget about a secondary heater if used in a humid 
environment.
