35 years ago I used my Yashica 124 twin lens reflex for piggy back
astrophotography using Tri-X film. I was absolutely astronished at the
results. I consider the images good even to this day with the proviso that
the Tri-X had no red sensitivity. I think I was just lucky that the camera
focused well at infinity. In 1975, I again used the same camera for
astrophotography and again used Tri-X. Excellent star images until the edge
of the frame, but the lack of red sensitivity made me shelve the camera for
astrophotography. I got my Schmidt camera a year later and never looked
back.

Make sure it focusses well at infinity and that lens hasn't hazed from age,
then go have fun with it.
