Nice work.  As you point out, the factory calibration of the STV is quite consistent with your stellar cal sequence, which may allow a good "universal" measurement of sky background.  I would like to encourage others with an STV to perform the same calibration that Rick did and let us know how it turned out.  Also, if you have an ST-4, be sure to take a measurement with it.
