Just for grins, try the shot again at f/4, focus properly, and stay away from the trees <g>.  I'll bet you will find almost no vignetting at all and seriously sharp star images.  Good luck.

Hi Rob,
 
I went out last night and took a few shots and stopped down to f/4 and there is no hotspot that I found after developing.
The only downside to last nights eventful evening was that I kept getting interupted by college kids cruising around looking for a place to drink ay 230 in the morning.
So out of about 4 shots I nailed the B-142, 143 region without interuptions.
I'll post the results sometime this week.
 
I think I'm going to resort to paying someone to use their land...all these interuptions are getting rediculous....and with summer coming up, its going to be worse
