Jeff, 

     I bought a relatively cheap Samsung SyncMaster 900 IFT ( 19" ). 
Turns out to be a really good monitor for the price.  I don't know if
this model is still available.  I have had this one for a year or two.  I 
have other more expensive ones that do not work as well.
