Hi guys,
Got the chance to go out last night finally and
take 2 pics using the h-a filter, tech pan combo.
It was hard to find anything to take a shot of,
given that I only use wideangle lenses for astro pic'n, but I did manage to find
the beehive for a subject.
All was good except for a slight breeze...I
shouldnt really complain...there wasnt any humidity leading to dew
problems(g).
My biggest concern last night was tracking...I was
deathly afraid that my Skyview deluxe mount wouldnt handle the H-a test, but it
did very well for 30 mins and I had no apparent flexture.
Ok... in the darkroom is where my probs begin once
again...I got the photoflo right this time and had absolutely no problems with
smearing or spots..good..thats over with.
What did happen was the negs were too
dark...especially in the middle of the frame.
I developed for 6 1/2 mins, and fixed
for...hmm...dont know...I accidently flicked the timer to 6 hours instead of
minutes!!...so I think it was around 7-8 mins that I fixed...I stopped when my
wife started badgering me through the door saying she had to goto the bathroom
and I was taking to long....I talked with her allready about
this...
So anyways, Did I fix too long now
possibly?
Whats this bright ...dark spot in the middle of my
frame?
Why do women have to bother you at the worst
possible of times?
By the way, thanks chuck for the 125 degree temp on
the D-19...no more chunks float'n around.
I guess if all else fails, read the directions
right? (g).
One more thing...WoW...That filter is amazing..the
stars are soo small...incredible!
Thanks for posting that page John once
again.
