     I don't know if the corrector lens can cause this or not.  I can
tell you that I had the exact same problem that you described
when I added the Crayford focuser extension to my SCT.  The
black anodized interior of the focuser unit was causing the
reflection.  I used a cylinder hone to rough up the anodizing
and then painted it with Krylon Ultra-flat black paint.  That
eliminated the arcing reflection completely.
