Thanks Eric,
your input is appreciated! Your results clearly show that even
non-exceptional equipment can do well if cleverly used. I do agree that one
does not really need resolution above 2000 dpi to post excellent pictures.
Not everybody need to make high-quality enlargements of their astrophotos.
The Filmscan 35 is only a negative/slide scanner, exactly as yours, only at
slightly lower resolution.
