[APML] An old Cygnus image posted

Hi APML'ers!

First, let's all be friends and please keep non-astrophoto discussions
off this list. Even though I do not suvf

Second, I'd like to post an image to this list for the first time!
It's an image I took in 1997 on Ectachrome 400 Elite II. I used a
Nikon EM and the 50 mm Nikon E-series lens piggyback on a C14 (Chuck's
images reminded me of this old image and I wanted to see what I could
do with it). I think it was a 25 min exposure. No filter. Stopped down
one or two stops.

You can clearly see that the image has different focus from left to
right. The lens is to blame and I have upgraded to a 50 mm Nikkor lens
since then. The image was scanned with Coolscan LS-20 and processed in
Photoshop. Here's what I did:

- duplicate layer and invert and overlay (100%) to the first layer
- adjusted layers (first auto-layers and then some more adjustment of
colors) Had to remove quite a bit of green.
- resized image

I'm struggling a bit with the colors, since I'm slightly color blind.
It seems the image is a bit too blue. Is it me? Also I think the
overlay process made the brightest start "too bright". Oh, well, here
you go:
