[APML] Medium Format Scanners

Hi all,

Has anyone worked with the new Nikon 8000 or Polaroid 120 medium format
scanners yet?  Or heard anything about them for astrophotography (and other)
uses?  I'm ready to acquire a new scanner (need to upgrade to medium format
from my Polaroid SS35+, but the SS works so well for astrophotos, that I
need some reassurance in that area before switching.

Also, where are the APML archives now?  I've been out of town for awhile,
and it seems that the old URL doesn't work anymore.
