RE: [APML] Minolta Dimage IV

I have this scanner as well. I use the software that came wih it. I could not
get vuescan to work... Probably user (me). Kept getting rainbow colored bands
across the scans.

I got this scanner in December and I'm very pleased with it. I use it for astro
and non-astro pictures. It's fast and easy to use. Since it doesn't have
digital ICE (which is why it is relatively inexpensive), you have to be careful
to clean dust off your negatives or you will be spending a lot of time editing.

I've found that the Minolta software does better colour balancing than Vuescan,
although I prefer Vuescan's user interface. Has anyone else seen this?

Hello all,

I've got a friend who is looking into buying one of these scanners (for
non-astrophotography use), and I'm wondering if anyone here is using it.
Thoughts on the scanner?

Thanks,
Jason
