Hi Wade
Do you have lighter backgrounds after you divide, or the DBE model is lighter?
I remember you that after the vignetting correction you must modify the image's histogram (black and white points), so there is nothing wrong if the background is lighter (the outer regions). In fact, if you propperly applied the division, the average of the background will remain almost the same.
