Yeah, I'm still
experimenting with the settings in DBE; however, I tend to always use a 16 for
the sample radius, 24 for the auto intervals, 0.3-0.4. for the tolerance, and
1:4 for the subsample output. I generally do not change an other
options. When dividing the flat, I usually set the Midtones between
0.992-0.994. Perhaps this is leading to my lighter backgrounds. My
images are generally 2000-3000ppi.

I used to always have problems with focusing
until I broke down and purchased the Mitsubishi Knife Edge Focuser. I
highly recommend it to anyone having problems with focusing. It's a film
saver.
