Yeah, E200 should result in significantly more red nebulosity. I
haven't quite made up my mind which combination of film I'm going to
use. I have two possibilities:
1. Provia 400F and E200 (both pushed 1-stop)
2. Provia 100F and E200 (both pushed 1-stop)
Provia 100F should capture the Witchhead nebula better than Provia
400F since Provia 100F is more blue sensitive; however, pushing it
1-stop will still require very long exposures (i.e. 120-150 minutes
at F/5.6). This will force me to have near perfect polar alignment
which is difficult with my current setup. Hopefully, by next
winter, Astro-Physics will have their new
Heavy-Duty Azimuth Adjuster Upgrade Kit for 900 Mounts.
As you mentioned, I do plan on taking 2-3 exposures for each section
and stacking them, even more around M42.
