RE: [APML] New shots: M35 (SHQ200) and M37 (Provia 400F)
Alan,
I think they are both nice looking shots. And these are what you'd call
short exposures??????? Ha ha

Hey all,
Sky conditions this last month pretty much ruled out long exposure deep sky
shots, so I threw a couple open cluster shots into the mix. Between high
humidity, smoke and passing clouds I was lucky to get anything. In fact,
I've always considered March a 'lost' month, along with April, February, and
the last half of November and the first half on December.
These are cloudy, damp, and gloomy periods here in the Northwest. May
sometimes allows imaging, and there are periods in Dec and Jan when
conditions are super, *IF* the clouds roll away.
I spent all morning scanning and slightly processing the shots and my hands
are cramping and I'm grumpy. M35, along with NGC 2158 is a single 110 minute
shot on Fuji SHQ200. Other info is below the shot:

M37 is a combine of 90 and 100 minute shots on Fuji Provia 400F.
Wei-Hao Wang was kind enough to send me some extra rolls earlier this month,
and it seems to provide vibrant star colors, at least compared to M35.
Again, image info is below the shot:

I did manage to slip some longer exposures in around all the lousy
conditions. I'll need a few days to see what can be done with them.
Thanks,
Alan
