Wonderful shot Wade! I'm surprised 100F @ 30min. produced that much
tail.

Here's another Comet Machholz image. As an experiment, I
decided to try my luck with Provia 100F pushed 1-stop. I believe it
did a wonderful job; unfortunately, by the time I got around to
shooting this particular shot, the transparency had decreased so the tail's
a little shorter than the 01/31/02 image. I hope I'm getting
better at bringing out the comet and nebulas without over
processing; however, I know I still have a long way to go. Please,
let me know if the image is over processed. I'll probably continue to
tweak it slightly as I continue to learn PixInsight LE. The image
was produced using both Photoshop and PixInsight. It's unbelievable
how well PixInsight removes vignetting. If you click on the image,
you can see the vignetting in the original scan.
