I'm now inching up and over the 4 hour mark at f/8, that should give
you an hour at f/4, all things being equal of course, and they never
are.

Winter is usually a good time, IF you get clear skies. This last month
however has provided smoke, high humidity, and generally unstable skies
here in SW Oregon. BUT, at least it was clear, that's VERY unusual for
March. Good winter skies are usually much steadier.
Yeah, I was just thinking yesterday about the short summer imaging
season. Generally I can count on 11:00 to 3:00 for shooting during late
June, early July. The way I shoot, that means I'll get one shot a
night, and little sleep to show for that. The price we pay for our
passions...
