Stuart , btw: for the bands on your picture , do you have checked if you have the last firmware on your D70 ? maybe it can help !

 

Stan , you should take the good side , maybe it's because you have warm weather then not a lot of sunpilar !

For the light polution , if it was a bigger display , it's sure that I'd have take my car and go to the north to have the light polution on my back but I have hundreds of pictures of this kind of arc ;) , then I decided to stay at home !

Hi all !

Stuart gave me te idea to show you 2 pictures of a Sun pillar that I took at
sunset tonight. It was beautiful to see !

The phenomenon was the same as Stuart's picture except that my light source
was the Sun instead artificial lights.
