Re: [APML] Film Destoryed
Back when I was a student and shooting a lot of B&W film, I bought film
in bulk rolls and used a daylight film loader made by Weston to roll my
own. I don't remeber trying to split a roll of film but I bet it will
work without losing too many frames. So, instead of sacrificing an
entire 36 exposure roll for the sake of getting 3-4 frames back, there
would only be eight or so frames sacrificed. That is if you spilt a 36
exposure roll in to three small rolls.
I'll dig around and try and find mine and let you know how it turns out,
I think I have a roll or two of sacrifical film in the fridge.
The only question I have is, will photo labs accept a partial roll of
film for development? Or will their machines balk at processing a
non-standard length of film?
Still lurking,
Charles Pckard
