You're right, I can't say anything until I actually do some tests. But I 
read about the IR-cut filter built in the lens many times, so I am not that 
confident; I may also experiment with a Vesta Pro Webcam, which is the 
ToUcam's ancestor.

Thanks for this hint too. If I have some spare time, I will give it a try.

I knew that ICE worked in the IR channel, but this is the first time I get 
a real demonstration of how dust and scratches stand out at IR wavelengths.
