RE: [APML] LMC & SMC

Wow! Flat as a table. Pix Insight has changed my whole outlook on image
processing now Wei-Hao, the tools it has are absolutely amazing.

Subject: [APML] LMC & SMC

Hi,

I scanned one of my very old negative taken in Australia. This picture
suffers from severe sky gradient. In the past, I considered it as a failed
picture and then forgot it for years. Now with PixInsight, the removal of
sky gradient is just piece of cake. Here we go:
http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~wang/misc/LMC_SMC.jpg
and a larger version:
http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~wang/misc/LMC_SMC-large.jpg

I cannot recall too many details about this picture. The only thing I know
for sure is that it was taken with Fuji Super G 400 negative and Pentax 67.
For comparison, this is taken by E100S:
http://www.ifa.hawaii.edu/~wang/gallery/picutres/LMC&SMC.html
The processing of this E100S is almost as old as the film itself. Probably
I need to rescan it to see if I can pull out new things.

Enjoy.

Wei-Hao
