Hi Carlos

As someone else will mention use white lithium grease, the type I used
is a paste in a small metal tube (like toothpaste)and handles the -30c
to +35c temperature variations of Montreal quite well.
For a lowbuck autoguider see if you can locate one of the older Conectix
B&W Quick-Cams for a parallel port. They have reasonable low light
sensitivity and are very easy to couple to a guidescope. The only catch
is that it wants a lot of light, bright guidestars are the key with a
70mm f/10 guidescope.
You will also need an old laptop or computer (depends on how mobile you
want it to be) running at least 200MHz.
