[APML] Modifications to a CG5 mount
Hi all
I just arrived from my vacations, and want to upgrade my AS-CG5. I've been following the Astronomy Boy's instructions and just finished the Dec part. Have any of you do the same with the Advanced Series model? Is there anything new I should know?
After those improvements, I want to change the grease and improve the performance of the motor drives. They are the old ones... Is there any page that shows the propper steps, or gives any indications?
I have heard that some guys use the same mount with webcams and other digital media, and make autoguiding. Do you know where are those instructions? I think that I'll have to build a new hand controller or make some attachment to the current one. Also I have the doubt on wich webcam to use. I just want to make autoguiding; no deep field or planetary work. And I want it to be cheap (well, at least cheaper than the Toucam).
Any help will be highly appreciated.
