[APML] Mercury, Venus,Mars and Saturn wide-field (medium format 40mm)
Fellow APMLers,
I finally had clear skies for the planetary alignment on Monday,
just in time for the greatest elongations of Venus and Mercury.
The photo was taken with a Hasselblad 2000FCW with a shutter
speed multiplier (gives electronicly timed shutter speeds from
1s to 60s) and my 40mm f/4 Distagon C T* lens. The lens gives
a hor./vert. field of view of about 68 deg. Just enough to catch
the four planets.
I am debating whether to take the effort to process out the
horizon glow/vignetting effects, or whether to leave the image
as it is. Photo take at approx. 7:15 pm in NYC, at least a half an
hour before the end of twilight.
Monday's western sky... (640x640 pixel)
