I recall doing a 330 minute exposure of NGC 7635 18 months ago. I fell
asleep and went beyond (WAY) the 3 hours I was planning. On comparing
negatives, the 330 minute shot showed way more stars than shorter
exposures. I shot a variety, because that was my target of the month,
and shot it repeatedly for several nights.
FYI, equipment used was: 12" LX200 at f/10, on Supra 400 color negative
film.
