One can never have too much red...or so Matisse might say.  The hue 
you've found is very close to true red (alizarin crimson + dash of 
cadmium red).  Quite delicious, really.

Since a strong red will elicit its compliment, the star field's cerulean 
blue might be de-emphasized towards neutral to allow the full palette to 
express.  Unless, of course, you wanted to play on compliment contrast.
