Hi Scott. The spikes were in the unfiltered shots as well and must just be
the slight shape of the aperture stopped down an notch diffracting the light
on the brightest stars. It'd be an interesting comparison to see one of
these wide open but these lenses aren't supposed to be that great unless
stopped a bit (and I kind of like the spikes - <g>). Thanks.
