RE: [APML] Wide field Milky Way

Scott, excellent image - that film is great for reds, isnt it?  Anyway I get the red halos too in my supra shots.  It seems its related to halation of the different color layers.

Subject: [APML] Wide field Milky Way

It is good to have APML back online, much thanks to all who contributed to the cause.

This is another image taken from my trip out west, I've been slow getting some of the last ones processed. I had Tony Hallas scan a few for me because I wasn't satisfied with the results of my scanner, it did make a big difference. This 35mm lens shows some aberrations, which are not evident at web resolution, near the edges, but overall I am pretty happy with the results. Can anyone tell me what causes red halo's around the brighter stars?
Comments and suggestions are welcome.
