Re: [APML] Jupiter, Saturn, Sun and Moon - A-P BARCON
Hi Chris,
The AP Barcon gave me the best image of all the Barlows I have been
using! I have tried TV Barlow and Powermate and Celestron
Ultima. Somehow, the lesser the glass the better also 2" gave brighter
images!! To get a bigger image scale, I just stack 2" extension
tubes! Roland gave me the magnification formula as:
M=1+ D/127
D is the distance from the Barlow Lens in millimeter and 127mm is the focal
lenght of the barlow.
Also my lowly old Celestron C8 beats my prized AP130EDF hands down!! If
you have a SCT, try it!
Just came back from a PERFECT NIGHT! I had 9/10 seeing last night and I
imaged Jupiter with Io transiting! I am still processing my images but I
have surface details of Io on my initial images!! Will post this later.
Regards,
Chris
