[APML] M101 Region - widefield

Hi all -

I've uploaded a image of the M101 region taking last weekend.
This time I did not push the Provia 400F but instead went long on the
exposures, 70min @ f/5.9. From my experience with processing this image,
not pushing the film seems to hold the colors much better. I was very
pleased at how the 400F recorded the warmer yellowish core along with the
bluer outer arms and pinkish Ha regions. Looks like shooting this film
straight is the ticket for more accurate color rendition...unlike the skewed
colors of a M31 shot I did last year on 400F pushed +2.

I would also like to thank John Boudreau for offering his expertise on a PS
curves exercise. His processing skills helped bring this image to life.
Thanks John!

I counted 15 fainter galaxies in the field. Not too bad for emulsion and a
4" scope. :-)

Hope you enjoy it. Comments always welcome.

Chris
