Re: [APML] Cassegrain Question

David,

Thanks for your reply. Its nice to get a confirmation that my reasoning isn't completely out to lunch. I examined things more carefully and came to the conclusion that the focuser was the culprit. And I was perplexed by the method of mounting. Removing the four screws securing the foucser did nothing to facilitate its removal. So I gently tapped on it with a small hammer and sure enough it backed out. So I was able
to shim it to remove this descrepency and the laser is now centered onto the secondary support, and after installing the secondary I was able collimate it with the laser as well. Put the primary in and was able to get a usable image (sort of). I am lacking any point sources due to clouds so I will proceed when the clouds finally depart.

I appreciate your taking the time to respond.

Regards

Bill
