[APML] OT: UFO
Heres a way off topic post, but what the heck anyways...
As I was looking at cnn's space and science page, I came across an article
of UFO's being detected by the SOHO satellite sun imager.
Cnn portrayed it in such a way to lead the reader to believe that we were
indeed seeing flying saucers in these images.
On the link they provided, The Soho team did a write up, possibly after the
cnn claims, of how you too can make a flying saucer in these images.
Lol...
If anyone is going to get a flying saucer on film or digital format, it
would have been one of us.
Why then have I never heard of an incident here of seeing or capturing one
of these things?
Heres the link: http://www.cnn.com/TECH/space/
However, I did come across something on one of my negatives to make me
think....
One night I snapped a short exposure using some Fuji 800 of Ursa major, and
after looking closely at the picture, I noticed one of the stars trail 90
deg. the other direction.
What was strange about this was that it was trailed exactly the same length
of the other stars.
Hmm...dunno..planet X? <g>..
Anyways, my whole qualm is with cnn, can you really trust cnn even though
they say they are the most reliable?.. sigh
