Night Sky Observe'rs Guide was RE: [APML] Re: Mirtle and Germano inS&T

Hello all,
If you like black and white, you really need to pick up the Night Sky
Oberver's Guide by Robert Kepple and Glen Sanner. This book is dominated by
dozens of Martin Germano images as well as many by Tony Hallas. All black
and white work. Many objects that are off of the beaten path. It is a
great reference set of two books.

Thanks Chris,
A shame the pics weren't a wee bit bigger, there is much more detail to
be seen. But, it was an observing article afterall. I think that it is
unfortunate that we no longer have magazines like Deep Sky and Deep Sky
Journal. They were dedicated to the faint, neat stuff and rarely ran
pictures of M42, M45 etc. Initially they were a showcase for the work of
Marty, and just as I was catching up with some neat tech pan of my own, they
closed the magazines down. :-) Oh well, at least Sky and Tel still want to
run some timeless, tech pan classics from time to time.
