RE: [APML] Print films for AP

Has anyone tried to hyper Ilford SFX 200? It has a red response to 700nm
but has terrible reciprocity characteristics unhypered.

Nicola,

I have only tested Tech Pan hypered. I don't think there has been much in
the way of changes to B&W film in recent years. Trials of Tri-X and Plus-X
in the past have shown that they don't do well for astrophotography. Tech
Pan has such high resolution and fine grain, and can be pushed to give high
contrast when hypered and used with a high contrast developer, non of the
other films come close.

If you have a film in mind that might be a candidate, let me know. I really
haven't looked at B&W films much.

Don
