Thanks Jim.
The Alabama Hills area is great for camping in fall, winter and spring.
Summer can get real hot, winter can have snow but not very often, elevation
is ~4000ft.  There are lots of primitive campsites in the area.  It is
dusty.  Very fine stuff, gets over everything.
