RE: [APML] Dedicated film/slide scanners

I've had good luck so far with the Minolta DiMAGE Scan
Dual III, which should be available for less than
$300USD most places. 2820 dpi, 48-bit, USB 2.0.

One of the reviews listed below mentions objectionable
streaking in the scans, but I see no trace of that.
Mmaybe it varies from unit to unit and I just lucked
out. There have been reports here of colored flares
around bright stars with Monolta's older Multi Pro
model, but again that doesn't seem to be happening on
this unit. Worth a look, anyway.

Hello all,
I'm getting a little tired of scanning at 1200 dpi
so I was hoping to pull some information from you all.
I am looking for a quality film/slide scanner for
under $400 and was hoping you folks could give me
some suggestions.

Thanks,
Don Spencer
