 Hey guys...

Haven't been online much the past couple of days, but I have been working
with the processing apps. If an image is '25%' in Photoshop and '4:1' in PW
Pro, they're the same size. This is where I've been making comparisions. I had
saved Jerry's post from a couple weeks back concerning monitor profiling and
testing. The Adobe Gamma is much easier than I first thought, assuming it has
picked the correct monitor phosphors... that info isn't in my monitor manual. I
played with all this ad nausem, and ended up pretty much where I started... the
biggest adjustment in the whole thing was the Contrast/Brightness in the
monitor itself... everything else was just finnesse.

After saving the Adobe Gamma generated profile, in PW Pro I 'Enabled'
Color Management with RGB Adobe '98 as working space... Monitor Calibration
was 'Disabled'... this defaults to the profile sRGB IECxxx created by Adobe
Gamma. Everything looks the same in both apps except that one darn file that
got this thread started... it's as though the Gaussian Blur/Unsharp Mask
routine I ran in PS didn't get written in the file... but shows up when I open
it in Photoshop.

Whatever... I re-worked it using mostly PW Pro and got the results I
wanted... I'll post it in the next couple of days. I have another two or three
I want to do... I'll watch more closely the operations I do in Photoshop and
try not to make the same mistakes twice.

 Thanks for the input...

 Geoff
