RE: [APML] PS-7 & PW Pro Compatibility...
I've got PW Pro 3.1h but still using PS 5.0. Be glad to help (off-list). I
bounce around between PW-3.1, PS-5, Corel Photopaint-11, and PaintShop Pro-7
without problems (except remembering which key to press! or what the function
is called.) Never noticed the problem you are describing.

Subject: [APML] PS-7 & PW Pro Compatibility...
Hello...
I now have Photoshop 7 and PW Pro 3.1h loaded on my machine... *sweet*...
but they're not speaking the same language. I've got a single exposure that I
worked up using both apps, and I put the final touches using curves in PS...
very smooth yet detailed, with great color contrast/saturation and an almost
perfect histogram (1 - 254)... when viewed in PS. I open the same file in PW
Pro and it's grainy/noisy... very harsh, not the same image at all. I have the
Color Management settings in PW Pro set to RGB (Adobe 1998)... just as Color
Settings in PS is set... but the file isn't being read the same in PW Pro.
I could go through the other settings I'm using, but perhaps it would be
better if someone who has both apps could steer me in the right direction.
(PLEASE!) The images I upload to my web-space mirror what I see in the PW Pro
that has been my primary app. Should I start by profiling my monitor? PW Pro
or
PS for profiling? I've got a lot to learn in PS... I'll probably continue to
use PW Pro as my primary app for some time to come. What have I overlooked
that
doesn't let PW Pro 'see' the image as it appears in Photoshop?
Any help will be :::greatly::: appreciated !!!
