Hmmm... you may be right.  After thinking a second, I realized that I can't
do that on my Epson 785ETX either.  I was remembering about how I cured
similar problems with my old Epson Stylus three ink printer.  On that one,
you swapped out the entire print head to change from B&W to color, so that
trick would work with the old printer.  I kind of figured if I ever got in a
jam I would do the same think with my new printer, but I guess not!  Sorry I
misled you.  I guess that trick will not work with the CYMK printers because
we cant remove the print head as a mater of course.

There has to be a trick to get these things fired back up.  Anyone else have
something up their sleeve?
