Seems like a much "richer" color. Very nice. I really like the greyscale.
Very pleasing to the eye. From an aesthetic viewpoint, I wouldn't push the
background galaxies too much since the focus, for me at least, is really on
the detail in M51 and the brighter galaxies adjacent. Mottling the
background may take away from the star of the show.

Never being completely happy with the color from my
old M51 I added a new set of long exposure color data to
my old luminance. I also tweaked the luminance to display
the background galaxies better. I hope you like it.
