Re: [APML] 2 inch adapter and now focusers and such

Brian,

I believe Al Musick (sp?) as Sirius Optics can provide coating services - it is
worth an e-mail anyway.

If you are looking for an objective set there are many options. I suspect an
APO lens set will be VERY expensive - if you find one at the "right" price
please let me know! OTOH I can recommend the achromat objectives sold by Hans
Winklar of Sky Objectives in Europe. (http://www.so-nl.nl/) I have put
together an 83mm f6 achromat that is a VERY nice scope for very little money.
His latest offerings are mounted in an aluminum cell and are pretty easy to
assemble. He has some very interesting short focal length objectives
available. Once I clear up some of the new home/observatory work I am hoping
to build a 130mm or 150mm.

The refractor may become moot however as I have been pretty happy using a Meade
LXD 6" Schmidt Newtonian mounted on my G11 lately. I will be posting my M42
effort as soon as I can figure out how to correct the color shift from shooting
through a Lumicon Deep Sky filter.
