Re: [APML] CCD Question

Sorry for this OT post, I meant it to go direct to Roland (aka. Mr. Astro-Physics). I'll be more careful in the future.

Subject: [APML] CCD Question

Roland,

Are you using the ST-10XE or the ST-10XME?

As you probably know, the ME chip's microlens generates a very small spike, similar to a diffraction spike, on very bright stars. This is said to be most prounounced at fast f-ratios.

Anyway way, I'm debating which version of the camera to buy and wondered if you had seen this effect with yours or had any advice.

Thanks!

Steve...
