About a month ago I spent some time at an Apple store looking at their
new displays. The high end models, that they call the Cinema displays,
do not suffer from the change of brightness and contrast with viewing
angle that all previous LCDs I had seen did.
They are expensive ($1000 - $2000). I would not use any of the less
expensive displays for serious image work. They're just too sensitive
to viewing angle.
